World Jewish Philharmonic & Maestro Gergely Madaras
International Educational and Cultural Project under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union
14 - 20 June 2025 | Wrocław, Poland
About the program:
This one-of-a-kind program brings together talented young artists of Jewish heritage from Poland, Europe, Israel, the United States, and Asia. Over five days of intensive training, 80 exceptional musicians—selected through a competitive process—will work under the guidance of world-renowned conductor Maestro Gergely Madaras.
The program will culminate in a prestigious concert featuring the newly created World Jewish Philharmonic at the stunning National Forum of Music in Wrocław, Poland. The concert will feature acclaimed soloists Giora Feidman (clarinet), Aleksandra Kurzak (soprano), Guy Braunstein (violin), and Avi Avital (mandolin).
Participation in the workshops, including accommodation and meals, is free of charge. Participants are only required to cover their travel expenses. This has been made possible thanks to funding from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, provided through the Culture Promotion Fund – a state earmarked fund.
About the organizer:
The program is organized by the Social and Cultural Association of Jews in Poland. It is part of the Artistic Education Program of the Polish Presidency of the European Union 2025, co-financed by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund – a state earmarked fund.
