French Horn

1. Required Piece:

  •  R. Strauss – Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 11 – 1st movement  

2. Orchestral Excerpts from G. Mahler – Symphony No. 5 in C-sharp minor

Choose High Horn excerpts  or Low Horn excerpts,  according to your preferences

High Horn:

​

  • 1st movement: 17 bars before No. 4  

  • 2nd movement: from No. 1 to No. 2  

  • 3rd movement: from No. 31 to the end  

  • 5th movement: 5 bars after No. 24 to No. 25  

​

Low Horn:  

  •  1st movement: 6 bars before No. 9 to No. 9  

  •  3rd movement: from No. 31 to the end  

  •  5th movement: 5 bars after No. 10 to No. 11  

 

Trumpet  

1. Required Piece: 

  • J. Haydn – Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major, 1st movement  

 

2. Orchestral Excerpts  from G. Mahler – Symphony No. 5 in C-sharp minor

  • 1st movement: from the beginning to 5 bars after No. 1  

  • 1st movement: from No. 10 to 7 bars before No. 12  

  • 1st movement: 1 bar before No. 13 to 1 bar before No. 14 (Trumpet in F)

Tenor Trombone  

1. Required Piece

Choose one:

  • F. David – Concertino in E-flat major, 1st movement up to letter D  

  • E. Sachse – Concertino in B-flat major, Allegro Maestoso section

  • 1st movement: from No. 17 to 5 bars after No. 18
